201 - What We Talk About When We Talk About Processing Born-Digital: Building a Framework for Shared Practice

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Currently there are no standards/best practices for processing born-digital material, making it difficult for archivists to establish effective workflows/guidelines. There is an inter-institutional effort underway to correct this by developing a holistic policy framework for arranging and describing digital materials that will guide decision making based on institution type, available resources, record types, etc. The speakers present research completed to date and solicit feedback from attendees through breakout discussion groups.
