In recent years archivists have struggled to document the work of activists in their communities. Working together in small groups, session participants are able to grapple with questions and create solutions to more effectively document the historical record of social movements and communities. By exploring our shared experience, we hope to move the profession forward in its documentation of often-marginalized activists' work.


Michael Lotstein

Head of University Archives, Yale University Library
Michael Lotstein is the Head of University Archives at the Yale University Library and has been at Yale since 2011. Mr. Lotstein holds an MA in History from Arizona State University and has been a practicing archivist since 2006.


Stephanie Bennett

Collections Archivist, Wake Forest University
Bennett is the Collections Archivist for Wake Forest University, which is also her alma mater. She holds an MSLIS with an Archives Management concentration from Simmons College and is a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists.
