502 - At the Data Curation Table: Archival Intersections with RDM

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

As research institutions expand data management services, many archivists find themselves working in new hybrid positions. The speakers engage in a conversation about research data management and explore the intersections of data and digital preservation, institutional repositories and digital archives, and the broadening definition of scholarly communications to include archivally adjacent areas like digital humanities and e-science. They pay particular attention to issues of appraisal, retention schedules, long-term preservation and access, and rights management.
Facilitators: Jared Lyle, Heather Soyka
