Derek Mosley is the archivist/division manager at the Auburn Avenue Research Library. Mosley has spent the past five years at the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History, Atlanta's first public library branch for African Americans. He initially wanted to be a history teacher, but after an Andrew W. Mellon fellowship at Atlanta's Robert W. Woodruff Library, he decided to focus on archives management. A graduate of Morehouse College and Simmons College, Mosley also serves on the board of the American Library Association's Black Caucus.
